Second stay and it was as great as the first!

Pros: We love Turfhuys, excellent location on the canal, walking distance to everything, has all the amenties you need, including a washing machine! The owners are lovely and very accomodating and helpful.

Pros: Excellent location, supermarket just a few minutes walk away, €12 per day parking made the stay even better, apartment has everything you need.

Cons: Beware of the steep and narrow stairs, typical for old European houses, not good for elderly or small kids. Host response slowly.

Pros: The host met us on arrival and explained everything about the apartment

Sweet historic little house in centre of everything

Pros: So central to everything - just a short walk to centre of the Old Town and 10 kinutes more to bus and train stations,, right next door to fantastic Fish restaurant (we ate there - lovely food and staff) on one side and bistro on other, across road from canal, cafe on the corner. The bed was very comfy, the kitchen had all we needed. It was spotlessly clean. The little 3 storey house is all part of the hire - no sharing of the building. We wished we'd booked for longer. Staying in Haarlem instead of Amsterdam was a fantastic decision. We could easily reach everywhere we wanted to go by train (Amsterdam, The Hague, Utrecht) or bus (Keukenhoff for the daffodils), and Haarlem itself was beautiful, and people friendly and helpful.

Cons: The STAIRS. They were scary and not too different to ladders. It was very hard to take our 18kg suitcases up them, and we had to climb and descend them like ladders. The shower drain needs clearing as the shower water spreads across bathroom, no matter what we did.

Pros: Great property, very cosy. Fabulous location, restaurants, walks, beach, easy access from Amsterdam airport via bus or train. Fabulous hosts would stay again. Thank you 😊

Pros: Very comfy bed. The house is in an excellent location and very characterful.

Pros: Very cozy and clean little condo in the centre of Haarlem. Fantastic view and equipped with all you can wish for. Even coffee capsules were supplied. Stayd here for a few nights and it was definitely not my last time. Thank You for the hospitality.

Perfect base to explore Harleem

Pros: What a sweet place this is and the host is marvelous! Pieter was so kind to us and made our stay in Harleem even sweeter. Firstly he kindly let us check in early. The property is been lovingly renovated preserving loads of original features. It's really cool that Pieter told us the story of the house, so interesting! The property is clean and comfortable. There is everything for a cosy stay. Bed is comfortable and shower is powerful. I loved complementary Ritual shower gel and shamooo, a nice touch. The view of the canal from the bedroom is dreamy. Location super central. This is really a perfect base to explore Harleem. There is a pub/chicken restaurant just below, which is really cool to spend an evening. Pieter also recommend a local restaurant which we loved and would have not found otherwise. Thank you for my little souvenir too. 100% recommend. Elisabetta & Paul

Delightful apartment for a short stay in a wonderful location

Pros: We loved the location with river view and that it is so close to the city centre. We were grateful for the warm welcome and introduction to the apartment’s excellent facilities as well as the local attractions. The beds were comfortable and the apartment warmed up quickly. It was fun to be in a traditional Dutch house in such a historic area.

We’d stay here again and recommend it to family and friends!

Pros: We lived our stay here! Haarlem is lovely and it was very easy to get to Amsterdam and get to the coast.

Cons: Nothing, everything was perfect!
