Beach and sea view

Pros: The room was spacious with two balconies. Staff were very friendly and couldn't have done more to make us feel welcome! The breakfast was outstanding, with so much choice! The location of the hotel is the real attraction though. 2 mins by foot to the beach and the beach is sandy!

Outstanding !. High standards, attentive staff and perfect location. Exceeded expectations.

Pros: This hotel is a real gem !. The proprietor Marian has set very high standards for all aspects of their product. The restaurant service and quality of meals were both outstanding, with wine served in crystal glasses - nice touch. The buffet breakfast and staff were also completely amazing. The rooms are kept immaculate by an efficient housekeeping team who very smartly worked around our occupancy. We did have high expectations, and the hotel and Katwijk surprisingly exceeded all. And then add the perfect location on the seafront and next to an excellent town centre with really lovely local people and great restaurants, shops, bars, cafes etc and the ice cream place (!) - we love Katwijk so much we are booking to come back again.

Nice Retro 70s Hotel

Pros: THE LOCATION WAS GREAT! The restaurant was clean and tasty, even the cheap breakfast wasn't bad (still a buffet) but not bad.

Cons: Our room was in the back and opened out to a noisy bar. This made open windows unwise and made for a stuffy room. Insist on a room to the side or in front. Avoid the back rooms!

Nice little hotel right on the beach, a bit expensive for the value, nevertheless would stay there again

Pros: Beachfront, clean room and bathroom, comfortable bed, good room size, friendly and helpful staff, machine in the hallway for free coffee, tea and hot chocolate, good food in the restaurant

Cons: Noise level in rooms facing the pedestrian zone, carpet on the floor, room door is loud when closing

Good hotel, great location

Pros: Location! Fantastic located facing the beach. Lots of (public) parking space in modern under-dune parking garage opposite the hotel. The staff were genuine friendly and joyful. Quality of food, breakfast and dinner, was simpel and tasty. Clean and fresh hotel. Good comfy beds and pillows. Good curtains. All together, in spite of the few minuses, I would come back.

Cons: The bathroom/toilet/sink was squeezed in some 2,5m2 space; that was very cramped. Doorlocks cause a strong metal sound, making it impossible to open or lock the doors quietly. In combination with rather not sound proof doors, one is woken up easily late at night or early morning by neighbours.

The staff was very helpful and friendly, enjoyed knowing my husband had worked in the hotel 1959,

Pros: Excellent breakfast drinks facilities in the room , lovely view of the sea and balcony

Cons: Shower curtain over bath too short, result water leaked onto bathroom floor.

Enjoyable.

Pros: The location, comfort, quietness and cleanliness of the room cannot be faulted. The breakfast was fab.

Pros: Excellent staff, we were very late checking in and phoned to apologise, the reception stayed open later to check us in. They were also very helpful in arranging taxis during our stay.

Cons: Tea/Coffee in the room, but maybe that's just a British thing :o)

Een aanrader!

Pros: Perfecte locatie dichtbij het strand en centrum van Katwijk. Het ontbijt was super, erg uitgebreid en met uitzicht op zee. Ook het personeel was vriendelijk en hulpbereid.

Cons: De kamers zijn schoon en netjes, maar wel wat verouderd.
