Pros: Staff at check-in were friendly and they helped us store our heavy e-bikes at the back of the restaurant which was a tricky location to get to with the bikes.

Pros: Fabulous location. Quirky design. Friendly staff. Comfy bed. Individual duvets. Chocolates on pillows on arrival.

Cons: Steep staircase. Shower in the bedroom so no privacy when washing.

Pros: Super central location, excellent staff as well during the day, evening and breakfast. The resturant of the hotel is of great quality.Lots or surrouding options for diner and drinks.

Cons: The hotel is very central so expect some night noised on the streets.

A comfortable stay, tasty food in the restaurant. I wish we could have stayed longer.

Pros: A lovely location, interesting and quirky rooms, helpful staff, great breakfast.

Cons: I liked everything but maybe it’s worth mentioning that the steps to bedrooms are really steep and narrow so a bit difficult for guests with mobility issues.

Comfortable and nice! Totally recommend it.

Pros: Friendly Staff, good amenities and comfortable bed :) Right in front of the cheese market. There was a terrace, but we didn’t use it much.

Cons: The terrace and the room were right on top of the restaurant. But it was very calm and not noisy. The room smelled really good, but the terrace didn’t really. We had a problem with the warm water, but the staff took care of it right away and the problem was solved within 15 mins. We also got more time to check out because of this.

Cons: Very small room, old building with steep stairs. Bell tower 50mrs away rings all the night. I personally could not sleep to well with that background sound every 15 minutes.

Our favourite hotel in Alkmaar for business trips to the city.

Pros: Great staff, lovely location opposite both the cheese and beer museum on the canal. Amazing breakfast. Very comfy rooms. Good atmosphere in the bar in the evenings.

Cons: There is no vehicle access to the hotel and parking (which can prove expensive) is a 5-10 walk away depending on your mobility.

Great vacation in a beautiful town with nice people.

Pros: The location was great! Right in the middle of the old town. The house has that certain something. A charm of the past. Authentically furnished with attention to detail. The staff was very nice and always helpful. The food in the restsurant and the breakfast were also delicious.

Cons: There was a foul smell coming from the drain in the shower that was constantly there. We solved the problem with a bath towel that we placed on the drain. Then ventilate it vigorously and it was gone.
