Family Home in Zeewolde by Forest Trails

High quality, peaceful large home for a family visit to Amsterdam

Pros: Henk & Marleen's vacation home is spacious, beautiful, and well equipped, with a truly impressive and lovely back patio and garden. The area is peaceful and very quiet. It was a reasonable drive from a Park + Ride station, from which we twice took the Metro into Amsterdam for the day. Henk & Marleen are very responsive and cordial hosts, who graciously offered not only lots of useful travel information when we asked, but even said we could check out at 9pm! There is also a refreshing outdoor pool available to guests. (And there are 3 toilets in the house, which is quite a luxury.)

Cons: It will be great if simple guides can be provided (in English and other guest languages) for the microwave and cooktop; not being Netherlanders (or European), we couldn't make sense of the symbols and didn't really succeed in getting the appliances to work as we wished. It was also quite warm in the master bedroom downstairs, despite our using there one of the two electric fans that we were so grateful to have provided in the house.

Beautiful villa for a family vacation

Pros: Beautiful villa with plenty of space for our family vacation. The backyard is green, with a canal with pretty water lillies. The property was clean, with ample furniture and well equipped kitchen. Kids had lot of fun running around open space in the front and backyard

Cons: The signages in the area were a bit misleading. Though the instructions in the email were good enough for us to navigate to the property. Overall great value for money.

Heerlijk een paar dagen weg met het gezin.

Pros: Locatie aan het water, parkeerplek voor de deur, ruimte in en om het huisje en aanwezige items zoals de sjoelbak, spellen, boekjes, vishengels etcetera. Meerdere badkamers en ruime leefruimte. Fijn contact met de host bij vragen/opmerkingen waar meteen iets mee gedaan wordt.

Cons: Communicatie van Belvilla (waar het huisje verhuurd wordt) via Booking was vreselijk, mails van Belvilla die half opgemaakt in de Booking chat komen, met de vraag links te volgen om te betalen of reageren, wat niet werkt. Vooraf was niet erg duidelijk dat een kopie id verzonden moest worden of een bedrag betaald moest worden, wat via de Booking chat dus ook niet ging, telkens veel werk om de communicatie helder te krijgen. Tip: in de bevestiging staat een e-mailadres van de host, wat wij gemist hadden. Apparatuur in de keuken kan een opfrisbeurt gebruiken

Sehr schönes, komfortables Ferienhaus

Pros: Sehr schönes, großes Haus, ruhige Lage, schöne Ausstattung.

Pros: Sehr schönes, sauberes Haus in einer wunderschönen ruhigen Lage.

Cons: Swimmingpool war leider zu weit weg.
