A great holiday house for our family group to enjoy Leiden and cycling in the surrounding area

Pros: The Lake House is in a quiet area just a short bike ride from the lovely city of Leiden. The garden is tranquil and a great space to relax after a day exploring. Stephan was a great host, very welcoming and communicative. There was a bowl of fresh fruit and drinks in the fridge on arrival which were much appreciated. The kitchen was well equipped and good for a self-catering stay. The sitting and dining area was comfortable for the four of us although we mostly ate outside on the patio where there was also plenty of seating. The bathrooms had great showers and it was good to have two bathrooms for the group. The house is next to a cycle way which links to local routes as well as regional routes such as 'Mills and More'. We had a fabulous stay - it was a great introduction to the joys of cycling holidays in the Netherlands! Visits from Ginger the dog were a delightful bonus!

Cons: The bedrooms are small but this wasn't an issue but more hooks/hangers for clothes would have been good.

A lovely stay by the water

Pros: We were thoroughly satisfied with our stay in this vacation home. The house is beautifully decorated with great attention to detail, creating a cozy and welcoming atmosphere. The amenities left nothing to be desired – from the well-equipped kitchen to the comfortable beds, and conveniences like a TV and fast WiFi, everything you need for a perfect vacation was provided. The location of the house is also ideal, peaceful yet easily accessible. We especially enjoyed the spacious terrace and well-kept garden, which were perfect for relaxing. Overall, the house exceeded our expectations, and we would happily recommend it to others. We’re already looking forward to our next stay!

Cons: There are a few small improvements that could be made: the dishwasher could use some maintenance as it didn’t always work perfectly, and insect screens on the windows would be a great addition, especially during the summer months. And perhaps a fresh coat of paint for the rooms.

Top locatie

Pros: Goede ontvangst met lekkere fruitmand. uitgebreide keuken en voldoende ruimte. Locatie perfect. Slaapkamer met televisie: jammer van het raam wat niet open ging. Zeer goede accommodatie voor een weekend met vrienden.

Heerlijk relaxt genieten

Pros: Het is meer het geheel wat ons beviel. Erg mooi huis in goede staat en mooi aangekleed. Prima bedden. Gezellig om met een gezelschap te vertoeven. Comfortabel genieten

very lovely, peaceful and luxurious house for a relaxing getaway.

Pros: Very nice and peaceful location, the house was very beautiful with good quality furniture and appliances. Very comfortable. We had a lovely time and appreciated the welcome message and fruit basket. In the fridge there was also something to drink. We would have loved to stay longer, but our schedule didn't allow that :) Although we didn't meet the host in person, he left clear instructions to retrieve the keys and was attentive in answering any questions and remarks.

Cons: We loved everything.

Schönes Haus mit toller Terasse

Pros: Sehr schönes Haus mit einer großen, gut ausgestatteten Küche und tollen Terasse zum Entspannen. Die Schlafzimmer sind klein, aber das stört nicht wirklich. Der Gastgeber ist sehr nett und hilfsbereit, alles war super unkompliziert.

Fijn, ruim huis met grote tuin

Pros: Heerlijk weekend gehad in deze ruime woning met alle voorzieningen die je nodig hebt. Twee badkamers is ideaal. Ook top locatie, veel leuke dingen te doen in de omgeving.
