Excellent stay

Pros: The owner (Ermst) were wonderful and the facilities are excellent.

Cons: You would have to drive or cycle to the nearest supermarket

Pros: We had a wonderful stay with Ernst and Matthea. The cottage was very comfortable with everything we needed and more. The cleanliness was top notch. The location was quiet and bucolic. They were very generous and attentive to us! Service beyond 5 stars, everything was perfect! We highly recommend this cottage to anyone staying near this place, you will not be disappointed. We will remember this beautiful trip for a long time.

Pros: It was sparkling clean, well furnished, the Sauna was lovely and the owner even set it up for us! Contact with the host was perfect as well! He replies in a manner of minutes!

Cons: I didn't love the shower in the bedroom but overall still amazing stay.

The perfect couples retreat

Pros: The hosts were lovely and helped to make our stay comfortable, enjoyable and relaxing and also so very welcoming. The views and locations are perfect for someone who wants more of a countryside/ quiet stay. It was perfect. Ernst was always great providing us with wood for the new Sauna. His wife was lovely with helping out with exploring new places and sparing the time to see if we're ok. Such a lovely family. Exceeded expectations, although we didn't have any because the reviews and photos helped us book the best location for our holiday. 25 minutes bike ride to Keukenhof flower garden was also a bonus. ( Ernst organised for us to have hired bikes for the duration of our stay which was amazing! ) We'll definitely be back in the future. 5*

I recommend the Vakantie in Duin- en Bollenstreek cottage very highly to everyone!

Pros: The stay in Vakantie in Duin- en Bollenstreek cottage was wonderful. First of all, the welcome was nice: a basket with Dutch specialities was waiting for us. The cottage is very cosy, nicely and practically furnished, everything was very clean. We were charmed by the homemade jams and teas. Blackberry Power Tea by Niels is great! The breakfast was very tasty - brought in a wicker picnic basket. The bread was still hot and delicious. I would highly recommend an overnight stay at the cottage to everyone! We will definitely be back.

A truly lovely hideaway in a great area.

Pros: Ernst was a super host - very kind and friendly and made an unintended solo trip feel comfortable and relaxing. Although the kitchen is tiny, the place was really well equipped. Lovely breakfast and a beautiful view with lots of birds and hares to watch.

Wonderful Stay

Pros: Matthea and Ernst are very generous hosts. We were warmly welcomed with a beautiful Welcome Basket, with Dutch treats and wine. The cottage is very cozy and comfortable and has everything one could need for a few days or longer. Small kitchen,( coffee machine, oven, refrigerator),lounge, dining room and shower. The cottage is located overlooking a Tulip Farm and within an easy drive to the local Beaches, Leiden and Haarlem. Breakfast, delivered each morning, is delicious and very substantial. There was an added treat of a homemade afternoon tea cake. We loved staying here and highly recommend to anyone wanting to visit a different part of the Netherlands.

Brilliant cabin with fantastic hosts.

Pros: The cabin is in a great area and as we went for the tulips it was in a super location. The cabin was made very comfortable by our hosts who left us lots of treats. It is compact but has lots of room to relax. There was a bbq which was great and a wood stove for the winter. We didn't use the stove but had a lovely BBQ. Our hosts were super friendly and couldn't do enough to make our stay great. I would recommend to anyone who likes the freedom to cycle too as the cycle track opposite goes to some lovely places nearby.

Cons: There wasn't anything we didn't like. It was a perfect trip for us.
