A week in Monnickendam

Pros: Just 7 minutes walk from the centre of town. Close to bus stops.

Brilliant stay in Monnickendam

Pros: Awesome chalet. Brilliant location and super equipped with everything you need for a restful time away. They have thought of everything! Highly recommend if you're in Monnickendam.

Pros: Small but perfectly formed. Had everything you need and the location is wonderful.

Pros: Very cute and nicely decorated house. Everything was in very good condition, and the house had all we needed. Quiet location in the wonderful town of Monnichendam. Just a few minutes walk to the busstop with frequent direct busses to Amsterdam.

Cons: No Parking in front of the house, but there was a parkinglot with free parking around the corner.

Monnickendam stay

Pros: Lovely location. Quiet area and Monnickendam was lovely to walk around. Stayed for 1 night with 2 adults, 3 kids in the Rozendaal chalet so we could visit Amsterdam the next day. There's a lovely kids play park 5 mins walk (€1.75 per person to enter, but my kids loved the place) and shops within walking distance. Our chalet was the last one, so although we were confused and thought we had the wrong gate to begin with as we walked straight into someone else's garden area, being the last chalet meant we were secluded and not a walkway for others. The free parking, while not at the chalet, isn't a problem at all (for us). On our checkout day we left the car in the car park and got the bus into Amsterdam which was cheap and convenient.

Cons: Listing mentioned that it had an oven. Unfortunately our chalet did not. I see from the pics that some do, but ours just had the stove top. Not a problem for 1 night, we just ate something we could cook in pans, but with 3 kids to feed and thinking there would have been an oven, it would have made a longer stay a bit tricky.

Pros: Our family had three wonderful days in Monninckedam Luxury Chalets. The apartment was clean and the air-conditioning took care of the hot days. The location was brilliant - the bus stop was near and it took only 15 minutes to Amsterdam. Monninckedam is a beautiful village, we also recommend the ice cream place by the harbour. Thank you for a lovely stay!

Pros: We had a great time, the location is perfect for a family with kids. We traveled with 3 kids.

Cozy chalet

Pros: I liked everything, especially the silence and the singing of birds outside the window. A very cozy chalet.
