Pros: We loved feeling the gentle waves and being on the water. The houseboat itself was fairly spacious, with room to stretch out and cook. The marina was very quiet and peaceful. The town of Monnickendam was charming, with centuries old brick houses. Frank was incredibly helpful and kind, he picked us up at the bus stop, took us grocery shopping, and answered all our questions. He made our settling experience so much better.

Cons: The nearest grocery store was about a half an hour walk, and the walk to the bus stop hauling all our luggage was a bit of an inconvenience
