A relaxing stay in an suitable room with a very nice seating area outside

Pros: The breakfast was good. The seating area outside was pleasant. The close proximity to the local outlet centre was handy for food and shopping. I liked the African decor.

Cons: I had hurt my foot, so getting around wasn't easy with no transport. I had to cross a busy road to get to the outlet centre. The traffic noise from the busy road. The bus stop outside the house was convenient but the host said the buses do not always stop there.

Pros: I loved the host. She was so friendly and hospitable. Our requirements were met. She would go the extra mile yo make you comfortable and to feel at home.

Pros: Friendly reception we only stayed for one night to shop at Batavia. We could walk and that was great.

Pros: We loved our stay at Huis van Steen, and wish it had been longer. We cycled to the house through a beautiful park, and it is situated in a lovely area. The ambience of the house and garden is very special. Peaceful yet vibrant at the same time. We very much enjoyed meeting Marion, the owner, and hearing all about the history of the B and B and Art Gallery. What a fascinating and inspiring person. We received great personal recommendations on where to eat, which we much appreciated. The room was comfortable and the shower nice and hot. Breakfast was great, and plentiful, even for four hungry cyclists, and the young lady who served us was really helpful and pleasant. Would highly recommend a stay in Huis van Steen!

Pros: Absolutely everything, comfortable beds, beautiful rooms and views. Lovely breakfast each morning and the hosts were absolutely wonderful! :)

Cons: Hard to get to via public transport, definitely taxi is the way to go, however the location was beautiful! Well worth the trip.

Pros: Sehr schöne Lage direkt am Park aber dennoch gut zu erreichen und mit eigenem Parkplatz. Sehr schön ist auch das afrikanische Ambiente.

Pros: Das Bett war sehr bequem. Das Zimmer war stilvoll eingerichtet. Bad und Zimmer waren sauber und aufgeräumt, nicht überladen.

Cons: Kein Fön, Duschtür ließ sich nicht richtig schließen, keine Haken für Handtücher im Bad, Fenster ließ sich nicht vollständig verriegeln. Kommunikation mit Mitarbeiterin war schwierig, sie sprach nur spanisch. Schlüsselrückgabe war nicht offensichtlich erklärt. Durch Zufall zeigte sich jemand, der den Schlüssel beim Auschecken entgegen nahm.
